How To Submit A DELETE Data request
You have the right to be forgotten and have your data deleted. see PeopleMaps privacy statement below section 4 – 1.1 – 1,a,4 There is a process for this, which must be strictly adhered to in order for a delete request to be executed.
Erasing all personal details will mean you no longer exist in the PeopleMaps data universe, so if you reappear legitimately through say a 3rd party data provider or via a subsequent registration or purchase, you will then be treated as a new person. Please be sure this is what you want to do.
- Please raise a new ticket at https://www.peoplemaps.com/contact/
- Please provide the first name, surname and email address that you used when you registered on the PeopleMaps system. (You may have done this via a PeopleMaps client or account holder. You may have used more than one email address to register.)
- Clearly specify your instruction that you wish to have your details DELETED.
- PeopleMaps will email you to verify your identity and confirm we have received your request. You must reply to the email in order to verify your identity and confirm your DELETE request. Without this confirmation email, PeopleMaps will not delete your details.
- Upon receipt of your confirmation email, your contact details will be deleted. PeopleMaps reserves the right to use anonymous data for statistical analysis.
- This process is conducted manually and may take up to 60 days from your initial confirmation.
DELETE requests submitted to a PeopleMaps account holder / client / representative.
The most reliable way to have your delete request actioned is to contact PeopleMaps directly as outlined in steps 1-5 above.
If you submit your delete request to a PeopleMaps client, account holder or representative and they pass your request to PeopleMaps then we will implement steps 1-6 above. PeopleMaps has no control over whether a third party will pass on your details and therefore cannot guarantee that your delete request will be actioned. It is recommended that you contact PeopleMaps directly about your delete request.

BACKGROUND:
PeopleMaps Ltd understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used and shared online. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits this website, www.peoplemaps.com (“Our Site”) and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a manner that is consistent with Our obligations and your rights under the law.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. Your acceptance of Our Privacy Policy is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site. You will be required to read and accept this Privacy Policy when signing up for an Account. If you do not accept and agree with this Privacy Policy, you must stop using Our Site immediately.

- “PeopleMaps Client” means PeopleMaps provides online services to clients such as recruiters, coaches and consultants. You may be registering with a PeopleMaps client, perhaps as part of a job application, or for coaching. PeopleMaps holds and manages your data on behalf of its clients as part of the commercial service PeopleMaps offers.
- End User means anyone who completes the PeopleMaps personality questionnaire and registration form, or subscribes to a PeopleMaps mailing list.

3 What Does This Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site. Our Site may contain links to other websites. Please note that We have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

5 What Data Do We Collect?
Depending upon your use of Our Site, We may collect some or all of the following personal and non-personal data:

- Date of birth
- Gender / preferred pronoun (Not collected this data since Jan 2025)
- Business/company name
- Job title
- Profession
- Contact information (email addresses, phone numbers)
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences, interests
- Consent to store data or contact you
- IP address
- Web browser type and version
- Operating system
- URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you exit to
- Your answers to the PeopleMaps personality questionnaire
PeopleMaps clients may also use the PeopleMaps system to collect additional data. PeopleMaps does not control what data they may collect.
6 How Do We Use Your Data?
All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with Our obligations and safeguard your rights under the GDPR at all times. For more details on security see section 7, below.
Our use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis, either because it is necessary for Our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to Our use of your personal data (e.g. by subscribing to emails or requesting a personality report), or because it is in Our legitimate interests. Specifically, We may use your data for the following purposes:
- Providing and managing your Account;
- Providing and managing your access to Our Site;
- Personalising and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
- Supplying Our products and services to you (please note that We require your personal data in order to enter into a contract with you);
- Personalising and tailoring Our products and services for you;
- Replying to emails from you;
- Supplying you with emails that you have opted into (you may unsubscribe or opt-out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email);
- Market research;
- Analysing your use of Our Site to enable Us to continually improve Our Site and your user experience;
- Helping us better understand how you use the personality reports and what value you derive from them, to help us improve the reports further.
With your permission and/or where permitted by law, We may also use your data for marketing purposes which may include contacting you by email, telephone, or text message with information, news and offers on Our products and services. We will not, however, send you any unsolicited marketing or spam and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that We fully protect your rights and comply with Our obligations under the GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
Third parties (including Google, Facebook, Microsoft) whose content appears on Our Site may use third party Cookies. Please refer to section 13 for more information on controlling Cookies. Please note that We do not control the activities of such third parties, nor the data that they collect and use and advise you to check the privacy policies of any such third parties.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to Us using your personal data at any time, and to request that We delete it.
7 How and Where Do We Store Your Data?
We only keep your personal data for as long as We (or our clients) need to in order to use it as described above in section 6, and/or for as long as We have your permission to keep it.
Your data may be held on one of the following platforms:
- The PeopleMaps Server, including the PeopleMaps Ticket System and the PeopleMaps inbuilt email system, which is currently with eUKHost, who are GDPR compliant. The server is located in the UK.
- HubSpot (Customer Contact Management System. This provider is also GDPR compliant)
- MailChimp – Email Management System
- Tawk.to Live Chat system (If you choose to conduct a live chat with PeopleMaps)
- Zoho – Recruitment Management System
Data security is very important to Us, and to protect your data We have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure data collected through Our Site.
Steps We take to secure and protect your data include:
- Your data can only be accessed by PeopleMaps clients using a username and password
- If you are dealing directly with PeopleMaps, with some services you are provided with a custom URL.
8 Do We Share Your Data?
We may share your data with other companies in Our group. This includes Our subsidiaries AND/OR Our holding company and its subsidiaries.
We may sometimes contract with third parties to supply products and services to you on Our behalf. These may include payment processing, delivery of goods, search engine facilities, advertising, and marketing. In some cases, the third parties may require access to some or all of your data. Where any of your data is required for such a purpose, We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data will be handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, Our obligations, and the obligations of the third party under the law.
We may compile statistics about the use of Our Site including data on traffic, usage patterns, user numbers, sales, and other information. All such data will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying data, or any anonymised data that can be combined with other data and used to identify you. We may from time to time share such data with third parties such as prospective investors, affiliates, partners, and advertisers. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.
In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by Us, which may include your personal data, for example, where We are involved in legal proceedings, where We are complying with legal requirements, a court order, or a governmental authority.
Only a limited number of people within PeopleMaps Ltd have access to your data. These are the personnel responsible for managing and maintaining the PeopleMaps systems and communicating with clients and users.
We may also share anonymised or pseudonymised data with trusted third-party advertising partners, including Microsoft Advertising, to help deliver relevant ads and measure campaign performance. This data does not identify you personally and is used strictly for advertising and analytics purposes in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
9 What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?
We may, from time to time, expand or reduce Our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Our business. Any personal data that you have provided will, where it is relevant to any part of Our business that is being transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use that data only for the same purposes for which it was originally collected by Us.
In the event that any of your data is to be transferred in such a manner, you will not be contacted in advance and informed of the changes.

When you submit personal data via Our Site, you may be given options to restrict Our use of your data. If you registered via a PeopleMaps client, you may also contact them and request your data is deleted. PeopleMaps clients have the facility to delete data collected on their own account, directly.

11 Your Right to Withhold Information
You may access certain areas of Our Site without providing any data at all. However, to use all features and functions available on Our Site you may be required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.

12 How Can You Access Your Data?
You have the legal right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by Us (where such data is held). Please contact Us for more details at https://www.peoplemaps.com/contact/, or using the contact details below in section 14.
If you registered via a PeopleMaps client, you may contact them directly and request access to the data they hold on you. You are also entitled to request that they delete your data from the PeopleMaps system and from their own systems.

Our Site may place and access certain first-party Cookies on your computer or device. First-party Cookies are those placed directly by Us and are used only by Us. We use Cookies to facilitate and improve your experience of Our Site and to provide and improve Our products and services. Privacy & Security for Corporate Account Holders Using the PeopleMaps Control Rooms
Users / Candidates that register under a clients corporate account will never be contacted by PeopleMaps directly other than in reply to their correspondence. Only corporate account holder will be able to contact them and you therefore have a duty of care as regards the data you hold about your candidates. Although the information is held on the PeopleMaps server you are the data controller of your candidate’s data.
Unsubscribe Procedure
As long as you are a corporate account holder then you are obliged to receive information emails from PeopleMaps from time to time. It is not possible for you to have an account and receive no communication from PeopleMaps, as the responses are automated. You may close your account at any time and request to receive no more communications from PeopleMaps. You may do this by raising a Ticket at https://www.peoplemaps.com/contact/ and instructing us.
Privacy & Security for Partners and Resellers
Candidates that register under your Reseller account may be contacted by PeopleMaps directly if they have given permission for us to do so. You may have direct or indirect access to candidate / user details. You must treat this with respect and comply with the data protection act. You do not own this data, you merely have access to it to provide your overall service.
