A bunch of people have been asking me for a while as to what career advice do I give my teenager. So I’ve been thinking about this subject for a while and have started to do something about it.

Today I brought in a big gun, in the form of Sarah Newton.

Sarah is the author of “Help! My Teenager is an Alien – the everyday situation guide for parents” and has had her own TV series. In fact, Sarah is never out of the press as everyone seeks her advice when it comes to teenagers.

If you want to know anything about teenagers, then Sarah is the place you start.

Thousands of parents and teenagers have benefited from her help, which is why I asked if she would like to contribute to this wee project I am working on.

We spent a fascinating hour on the phone and not only was Sarah informative and insightful, she was hoot as well. Lucky for you I recorded the whole thing and will release it shortly.

If you are a parent and have a teenager, (13 to 33) then keep watching for the Sarah interview. It will astound you.

March 2013 Update

Exciting update. Sarah and I have been working on a project. It’s still top secret but it will be released in the spring. Now as there is still snow in my garden it may be a late spring however if you are a parent then you will be very excited about what we have been working on.

Let’s just say it’s the next best thing to X-Ray specs and mind reading.

Our starting point was to help parents help their teenagers. To discover how we help them you will need to keep watching but I promise an announcement soon.

I’m a parent so I know how bewildering it can be. But between the mountain of stuff that Sarah knows about teenagers and what we know about personality psychology, I think I can promise something pretty special.
