You don’t need psychometrics to recognise a man happy at his work

man happy workVisiting Olot, in the Catalunian mountains, in the north of Spain. Beautiful part of the world. When we visited the local market, which was just bursting with local produce, my wee guy Ruaridh who is ten, commented on the man selling the chickens. He looked so happy at his work that Ruaridh announced that that is what he would like to do when he grew up.

And from the mouths of babes comes wisdom. It’s not often we see someone that happy in their job. Someone that so obviously enjoys what he does as to inspire a ten year old.

Are we likely to inspire anyone with the work we do? If not perhaps it’s time to think about that and do something about it.
