I do feel for you but please don’t give up. It’s not you that has a problem it’s the miopic recruiters that can’t see talent when it’s in front of their faces. Be strong and don’t compromise. You are the best OK?
I’m in the same boat as you (and thousands more), and when I feel I’m starting to wobble I just remember that I am lucky to be fit and healthy and to keep believing that there is a job out there with my name on it.

As Martin advises, it may well be prudent to have another look at the old cv and “redecorate” it which is what I’m going to do AGAIN!

I’m in sales management (not recruitment, although I think I’d be bloody good at it), with specialities in start ups and I can set up the processes to get a sales pipeline going and eventually get the sales booked. I should therefore recognise that I am worth my weight in gold to any small company and I guess being brilliant with Linkedin and Social Media might be a better option than just dealing with recruitment consultants who tend to scan 1000′s of cv’s!
