Julie, twitter is becoming a larger haven for job seekers and employees everyday. Being a college graduate who is interning at HireFinders, which is a job board website, I have personally tried using twitter for finding a job. Additionally, HireFinders is considering using twitter for posting jobs that are listed on our website. We just don't want to post too many and clog peoples' twitter feeds. I have also found on twitter that unemployed tweeters are marketing themselves to companies (i.e. Brad Hirschberg tweeting @JPMorgan You have openings in your accounting dept. and I am the man you need for the job, check me out on linkedin!) to companies inquiring about jobs. It's amazing how job prospecting has changed over the years; we now use social media and job boards instead of head hunters and recruiting agencies. Who knows what the future will bring in terms of job prospecting...
